Consumer Protection Association

In the United States, several consumer protection associations are available to protect the interests of consumers. Consumer law already provides consumers with protection against certain wrongful actions, but this in itself is often not enough to prevent scams and other illegal practices from taking place. At one of the most acknowledged consumer protection associations, the Consumer Protection Association of America, consumers and businesses work in unison to create a common ground for safe and ethical commerce. Presenting a unique perspective on consumer protection, the CPAA in particular handles issues on the basis of no-fault, rather than looking to immediately penalize a guilty party. When a consumer files a complaint, a consumer protection association will offer practical resolutions, usually a choice between mediation and arbitration. Each consumer protection association is likely to be very different, but in the end, they are often able to provide consumers with effective assistance.
